Suspended depicts two girls floating above a familiar scene in front of Mt. Royal Avenue. The piece explores the feeling of being suspended, temporarily prevented from continuing, as if paused midair without clear direction. I felt this way while creating the work. I am currently in the midst of pursuing a potential career shift, yet I am unsure whether I should fully commit to it. A part of me wants to continue focusing on illustration, but after submitting my work to publishers and agencies without receiving responses, doubt begins to surface.
