"Pineapple Eyes" is a two semester long project at my last year at MICA. In this 64 page book, I illustrated the story of my parents and their trials through the Khmer Rouge, a genocial period in Cambodia between 1970 – 1974. Twenty painting along with descriptive essays detail the journey of both my mother and father, and how their plight allowed them to meet.
